RE-ROUTE...ARE YOU ON THE RIGHT TRACK FOR 2013?

Twenty-Twelve is almost to a close  for some that means it's time to make promises to yourself, resolutions to the universe, or adding new and improved lifestyle  goals to twenty-thirteen's agenda.  For others it's a time of soul searching and cleansing. Where do you stand as of today? I must say for myself this was a year of renewed spirit, re-discovery, obstacles, and tested blessings.  Tested Blessings are things, situations,  and people God wants you to see.  Life isn't perfect and on a occasion the universe will show you just that.  How you deal with it can be seen as a blessing or barrier. Opening yourself up to the blessing of making changes is God's way of offering a subtle whisper.   Ignoring the whisper only makes the sound louder.

This year I not only had several plans re-routed, but also monumental changes to key individuals in my circle. While re-positioning my team, I also had to be a supportive associate, partner, friend, sister, daughter and most importantly "Child of God" just to name a few.  As various blocks were removed from my life, I also came to realization that this was a year of re-structuring.  Re-structuring is a blessing from God for you to re-build the foundation. When your foundation isn't strong the structure will start to slip and if you're building a structure on a high mountain over looking the most beautiful existence of landscape. That's a pretty high fall to take without the right team. 

Location, Location, Location...

In order to position yourself  on the right location it may call for a new construction team to design the future-scape you so desire.  In doing that comes with consequences; Consequences that associates, friends, and family may not understand.  But it order to have a well diverse team that  supports the foundation, YOU the owner must make changes that not every one agrees with.  As we're going about our day-to-day in life one must keep in mind one word- "LIFE." It is your life and you can only live it for two people yourself and God.  This is why it's important to have a productive, positive team in place who supports you immensely. Through the clear sunny days, cloudiness, fogginess, and turbulent  storms. 




God will often take you through what doesn't feel good to receive something far greater. Although directions are giving along the way, God's Positioning Satellite (GPS) may not always be followed.   Life is about having the right seeds to plant to produce a harvest of substantial blessings. If there is a bad seed planted during your season, you'll need to dig deep and start from scratch.  Starting from scratch is a phenomenal opportunity to get things right. Right equals re-setting the navigation, Right is having another chance to re-plant better seeds,  Right is God's way of saying "I love you", Right is re-routing  while aligning the tools to create a harvest that you "RIGHTFULLY" deserve.  As we say good-bye to twenty-twelve do not feel guilty about leaving the bad seeds behind.   Twenty-Thirteen is the beginning of a New Season.  In order to produce the harvest you desire its time to plant seeds that produce growth.

Soulful Reminder: Luke 8:15 And the seeds that feel on the good soil represent honest, good hearted people who hear God's word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest. (Holy Bible NLT, 2007).

Twenty Two Days of Blessings...#22daysofblessings

Although, this quote is extremely profound.
There is an alternate answer. STRONG: Stop turning to self and turn to God.

Let the countdown begin... Today is the beginning of Fall in addition to the countdown of a very special day. If you've followed my Blog this post comes as no surprise, however for those that are new here let me share what usually happens during the month of September. 

In the past I've shared a Birthday love letter to myself  reflecting on the year whether if its good, bad or indifferent. September provides me an opportunity to evaluate life desires, dreams, and ultimate destiny to reflect, release, and  begin again; as its a new season. The evaluation soothes my soul while opening up an opportunity for others to engage, while sharing their triumphs or struggles.

This past year has been a time of happiness, disappointments, but in the end magnifying life lessons. Today begins a new chapter where I'm creating the storyline that can end anyway I desire. Through the process I'll consult with one chief to guide my footsteps along the way for it is he who keeps me strong to pursue the greatest gift of all.  Over the next twenty two days my gift to self  is the most precious gift God has provided me: the manual that makes this thing called life all worth wild.

Unconditional Love

No conditions, only commandments

Two words I receive questions on all the time. "Unconditional Love". Exactly what is the meaning of "Unconditional Love". Although, there are many answers I'll share one that is close & dear to my heart. In order to fully give of yourself to another, you must first trust the process that you are capable to embrace all that love has to offer. Stage One: the details...

My love for you is unconditional. I'll go the the ends of the earth just for you. You say stop, drop and roll, I'm down no questions asked.  I'll continue to follow your footsteps, trust in your word, believe thy will be done and have complete faith in the process. Why? Because you'll do the same for me.  That's the kind of love you're deserving of.

A DAY OF HEALING... FORGIVING & FORGETTING

In reflection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. these two words come to mind this morning. Forgiving & Forgetting. A great man who sought out the unconditional acceptance of others no matter what obstacles he encounter. Although they were high mountains to climb, his persistence in equality set the tone for freedom. Freedom to heal your heart, embrace a dream that you will not be judge by the color of your skin, but the content of your character. 


On this day I honor a leader who took the steps of “Innovation” to make it a universe for all to live without judgment. I ask that you remember this day, but not forget the struggles of the past that have brought about innovation. We still have a long way to go, but greatness doesn't come easy. Continue to build your character to becoming a person of compassion, patience &  grace. Look at others as unique individuals, building them up, not tearing them down by chipping away at their character.

Healing...

The healing process of forgiving & moving forward can be the best medicine for your spirit. Holding on to angry isn't healthy nor or you harming anyone, but yourself. Usually the other person has already moved on. In the meantime you are still holding on to toxins in your body that will eventually manifest in your life. Forgiving is a cleansing process that takes time. You must often visit the incident to understand what got you to this place. Regardless if you were the victim or the victor (so to speak) you must come to peace with yourself. Moving on without having a proper burial, will only reincarnate itself in the future. There are no “Winners” in the end.

It was such a pleasure sharing with you on Twitter yesterday. I'm always open to sharing my story if it will help someone. I always tell people to live your life holding a grudge, being mad, angry,bitter, and unforgiving will kill your very soul. One will become sick and unable to successfully live life to the fullest. And truthfully, it will be so hard for anyone to really 

like and embrace you. I'm a witness. To answer your question I grew up hating my father he was an alcoholic who was mean, hateful, prejudice, verbally, and physically abusive at times to both my mother and my siblings.  I never knew what it was like to have a father/daughter relationship like most of my friends did and that really bothered me. My parents divorced when I was 16. I was happy, yet still angry about all he put us through as a family. I'm at total peace now. Even without the relationship. I've learned to be fulfilled in Christ

in all things. Even in the most difficult times in my life.

I now see myself as a survivor (in Christ Jesus). I look back and say it all happened for many reasons. And it all has a lot to do with who I am today. I don't have to live in my yesterday at all for any reason! It's over with its dead and everyone should tell their yesterday to drop dead!

I do hope my testimony will help someone to let go.

Now for anyone who is on twitter. You know you can only tweet 140 characters. Tywana & I had to take her message to email. Her story was so moving I just had to share with others. You can't let others blocked your blessings, unfortunately it can be members of your family. Although you will go through a deep valley . once you release all the pebbles. The mountain top is clear & bright.

Dr. Martin Luther King message embodies just that. A dedicated husband, father, leader and peace maker. That no matter what, the dream is possible. It takes a team, but begins with you. I commend Tywana for sharing her testimony. With age comes wisdom. A continued healing process over time that has made her surrender to better.

CREATE YOUR OWN DESTINY...

I decree  you a "HAPPY NEW YEAR"

I pray that everyone had a beautiful & safe New Year's Eve. As an Event Planner I produce many events throughout the year. For the past few years I have personally decided to bring in the New Year with the one person who “ALWAYS” has my back, continuing to feed my spirit even when I want to push the plate away. Most of you know my motto for life is "Living everyday like a FABULOUS Party". Contrary to belief this doesn't mean partying 24-7, but living an abundant lifestyle in “JOY”. In order for Joy to be a constant provision for me I most certainly need the correct tools to guide me throughout the year. These tools consist of my relationship with God which in turn helps me with my relationships with clients, loves one, friends & associates. On occasion my events fall on Sunday's, but when I'm not working I definitely make it a point to nourish my craving for the word & attend church. Sometimes on Sunday & many times Tuesday & Wednesday night Bible Study. When I can't attend I will watch my home church online and even DVR Joel Osteen.

Ringing in the New Year praying & fellowship at West Angeles COGIC ; Watch Night Service. This is my decision & doesn't take away from choices others make to bring in the New Year how they see fit. Bringing me to my point of creating your own destiny. Create the path in life you would like to take & not follow others footsteps. Be the creator of your own destiny, for you were born alone & will leave this earth alone. A quote I often say & live by. “Don't be a Carbon Copy. Be You, Be Unique, Be a Individual ”. What God has for you is for you. Let know one steer you away from your dreams. Center yourself around positive individuals that will uplift you while also guiding you on a road of excellence. If you haven't done so yet. Evaluate those energy drainers who want to steal your “JOY”. Take a close look there are lots of impostors who are the silent Rah Rah cheerleaders. Make a change today & place them on the bench for good. In order to move forward you often must evaluate where you are in life. If something is holding you back its time to make a trade. Create the blueprint for your success...For the past 5 years I sought out a theme song. This song is similar to a intro for a show. Your life your show, so you would need a song right? Selecting the perfect song is important, as you will need to listen to it for 12 months. Over & Over. The selection must also be uplifting & apply to all areas needed for whatever comes your way. Food for the Soul... The best way to renew your spirit is by feeding it. Start your day each morning by developing a relationship with God's word. Reading daily scripture's to guide you & feed your spirit is the perfect nourishment to get you through any obstacles. Trust! You will be able to block the reverse energy that is thrown your way. Developing a shield of faith will provide you a better direction in following God's footsteps & walking in obedience with him.

SURRENDER to LIFT YOUR SPIRIT...

Ask, Seek, Knock

This week has definitely been a cleansing week. The Holiday Season can be a stressful time for many. If you're not careful you could be pulled in many different directions & at the end of the day that rope that has been pulling you is just about to snap. Over the years I have learned to not let the big or small details of life get the best of me. The Universe will test you at every cost just to see if you are paying attention. With just one blink what you you thought was under control is complete chaos. Its so important to listen to the whispers that surface within you. Often comes like a swift breeze, a shiver up your spine or just a faint kick in the gut.

The Holiday Season is one big festive invitation, don't feel obligated to attend everything you receive an invite for. Unfortunately even I can't attend or participate in everything. 

drezrehersal Tip... You absolutely should respond to the hostess thanking them for the personal invitation; If you're able to attend or not.

I always mention to people every chance I get, especially during this time of year to be mindful of your words. What is a season you may look forward to all year long could be a turning point of despair for others. The expectations of what most think the season is about is a bit much. "SURRENDER" to being your authentic self & staying grounded. Don't go above & beyond to make others happy and in the coming year you're stressed out & spirit is broken. I had several conversations this week with individuals who are looking for that bright light to shine at the end of tunnel. Sometimes in order for your breakthrough to happen you must “SURRENDER”. Get down on bended knee & ask GOD for exactly what you desire. Not pleading or begging. Be humble with your words. Have a conversation with him throughout the day, make it your daily routine to engage in a relationship with him. Go to him in faith & trust that your breakthrough is coming. Surrender all the negativity into the universe so the energy you are projecting will return with the bright light your spirit is longing for. This may include releasing bad toxins within your circle. In order to move forward sometimes you need to leave a few behind. It's OK to say I love you, but I love me more. GOD's  greatest gift is his authentic unconditionally love for you. You must faithfully believe you deserve better. Hold On & Surrender to GOD to lift your Spirit for an abundance blessing he desires for you to have. GOD sometimes has to send you through what you don't enjoy to make you better.

As a Closing Reminder~Food for the Soul...Be mindful not only to the words you speak to others, but the words you speak over your life. If you speak words of encouragement you're more likely to put positive energy into the universe. If you speak negativity; than that's exactly what will happen around you. 

I'm aware of the energy that is brought to me. I will STOP it dead in its tracks & let that individual know if you are about to share something sad or negative. I don't want to engage in this conversation. Its one thing to be there for your friends, but there comes a point where you must cut the rope & let them figure it out for themselves. I am learning to “SURRENDER” being the comforting friend. Before you seek me seek GOD.

I have a bypass opinion towards  Regina King, because I have seen her evolved into a beautiful woman all while keeping her true identity. And Miss Trace Ross known for her independent roll on Girlfriends.  Both women continually making strives and placing their footsteps in the sand.

BGR- Inspires me to look deep within the essence of not only myself , but also the power of other women. POWER isn't just about leadership. Understanding that each one of us is in control of turning that power within on. Owning the inner essence of who you are ; who you want to be and allowing yourself to have a support team that guides you all the way.

These women are unique, fierce, intelligent, gifted, strong and carry a spirituality full of love dancing to the tune of their own drum. A recipe that consist of vanilla, caramel, caramel latte, mocha, chocolate, and dark chocolate. A complete melting pot of girls rocking to the beat of passion and success. Cultivating the I CAN do anything attitude. Attitude a word that seldom is use in a negative context, however the POWER of the attitude keeps you focused to strive to do better. OPRAH's quote “When You Know Better; You Do Better”. And having a group of women such as these to give you a boost of empowerment that “WE” can do better. I only ask for one thing to those who are reading this post. That women  learn to support each other more, than we tear down. And only then we can all rise to the pinnacle of our destiny. However, ladies you CAN NOT do it alone. It takes support, mentoring & loving each other. Not the side eye, turned up lip, stank attitude that you are better.

This year I'm empowered by all the Black Girls Rock honorees, presenters and talented group of women. Owning your power is about sharing your successes & failures with others. I prayer that one day we can truly be authentically supportive of each other success & triumphs to make life better for ourselves, our families and while keeping in mind there are young women watching our every move.

I will keep driving until I hear his whisper saying my child you have arrived. 

Black Girls Rock: Since 2006 dedicated to the  healthy development of young women & girls. Black Girls Rocks seeks to build their self-esteem and  self-worth by changing their outlook on life and broadening their horizons all while helping to empower themselves. 

The BGR 2 hour show that airs on BET is a format for African American Women to be recognized for their tremendous gifts & talents. WHO ARE YOU???

Individuals who are hurting will
often try to reverse their "MIRROR" image
2U... Don't go for it!  Know WHO YOU ARE.

Life at times will play tricks on you or maybe its a test or even a life lesson. Recently I had to take a step back & remember You Attract Who You Are. I've been giving careful consideration to go back to school to receive a degree in Relationships Psychology. Asking myself is it even possible for me to set time a side to complete a dream ; a passion that has been in my heart for awhile now. In addition to checking off other aspirations I'm currently working on. Absolutely, one by one it shall be done. However, I'm still contemplating & pondering over the additional credential to add to my already full achievements. In the midst of it all I'm being tested & I haven't even started school yet.


You Attract Who You Are... OK let me explain this. As a Virgo I'm a compassionate, nurturing & sensitive to ones needs. A true confidant & support of those close to me and around me whether in business or personal. Its Who I Am. We are givers & when the chips are down & you need a friend we are the ones available during those testing times should you need advice or companionship. This is a positive as well as a negative. Important to know when to turn your light on & off so the forces don't drain Who You Are. I completely know Who I Am & what I will & will not stand for. I've learned early on that the opinions of others are heard but, the one I listen to, the one that matters in the end is “GOD”.


Aha....I had an Aha Moment late last night. Well actually at 1:57 a.m. Thoughts flowing , along with answers being receive by closely listening to the whisper. I immediately reach for my writing journal & put pen to paper. Hints this post. As I continuing writing so I may upload the completion by mid afternoon. I recognize the universe is testing me to make sure this is something I truly desire to do, by sending individuals to me for counsel. The interesting thing was, this was completely different because I mentor & support people all the time. Over the past several weeks I have been hit with an abundance of reverse energy. During this process of me having this Aha Moment. I also discovered I need to take my own advice.

“BELIEVE” it the first time.

Do not give them a second or third time.

Ding~Ding...Aha Moment. After having a conversation with a confidant, I completely got what one of the individuals was trying to do. “Discovery” Wanting me to accept their own disappointments in the cards of life they were dealt. There comes a point where you must stop feeling sorry for your circumstances & have “TRUST” & “FAITH” that God will turn things around. But it starts with you. I no longer know Who You Are... I can continue being a friend from a distance. This individual needs much more than I can give at this time. You can't create an identity for someone else, temporary feeding their soul. They must discover WHO they are on their own. I'm taking responsibility for the energy I desire in my life. As hard as it might be occasionally you will need to exit stage right. You can only be the motivational cheerleader for so long. Then soon that person needs to put their protective gear on & get in the game of life & play to “WIN”.

Food for the Soul...It's the faithfulness in the small things that is key to meeting life's great challenges victoriously.

REFLECTING ON THE YEAR

Dear Kimberly (Me),

Another year has come & gone, so much to reflect on. Where should I start... A year of dreams, promises, challenges and disappointments. The best part of it all. I'm Still Standing. Standing tall filled with inspiration and ready for what I know will be my best year yet. WHY? I discovered loving me on a level that is undeniably the greatest pleasure of knowing thyself. Highly flavored with flaws & all. This Dear Kimberly letter is a Love Letter to Me on the most precious month of all. My Birthday month. Every year I write a letter to myself reflecting on the past year. (View last year's letter) Birthday's are a celebration of you. The best present you can give yourself is PUSH each year to be a better you. Reflect, Refine and Research your trails, tribulations and transform them into positive assessments.

My Glamourscope via Glamour Magazine says: It's Going To Be A Big Love Month. Which makes my Birthday Letter title just Perfect! The full moon in Pisces on the 12th and the new moon in Libra on the 27th will cast a dreamy glow over all of us-a cue to let your inner Aphrodite call the shots. Wear a pretty dress, write a love letter to your man, chat up the ridiculously hot IT guy or just indulge in a romantic-comedy marathon. Then decide with whom you want to reenact it, and make it happen on either of those days-or both!

Whew... What a month I have in store. The love letter is covered with minor revisions; to Me and well play everything else by ear. Lot's to look forward to. The Glamourscope is all in fun. Learning not to take yourself so seriously while handling business when need be and the pleasure when time permits. Regardless of your age its never too late to improve you. Taking the proper steps to reflect and discover your calling. Just what I do every year at this time. Me stepping out on faith, hope & grace has kept me having a positive attitude, even when things aren't a bouquet of roses. I'm constantly working on Me. If God can continue to love me unconditional. Then I surly should do the same with no whining & no regrets.

My title for this post is “LOVE Letter to ME”. Taking care of numero uno is essential in life. Learning to live a lifestyle that is pleasing to God, while meditating continuously on Mind~Body and Soul is key for me. One of Virgo's traits is wanting to keep the peace and making sure everyone is happy. It took me a few years to learn that its a balancing act with your happiness & others happiness. Keeping the peace isn't always an option. God wants us to love our neighbors and treat each other with respect. Forget about that old saying respect is earned. That quote definitely isn't in the bible. And getting & receiving respect doesn't always happen which brings me to my Aha point. You must learn to love from a distance. What is good for you, may not be good for me. You can love it, but I don't need to like it. I have a higher calling to answer to and that is my ultimate focus. Below I'm going to share a few LOVE HONORS that I vowel to myself  for my Birthday and honoring into the 2012 year.

LOVE HONOR: A vowel, commitment, promise that one makes to themselves in order to live their best life in the eyes of all that is GOD's Greatness.

COUNTDOWN...OK this year I'm honoring LOVE and for the next 22 days up until my Birthday September 22nd I'll share I Honor Love By... To see my daily “LOVE HONOR” Like our Facebook Page or Follow Us on Twitter. That's where my LOVE messages honoring Me, will be shared. Loving you isn't a selfish act. Its loving you enough to honor all the greatness God has in store for your life, while you're here on earth. God has a remarkable purpose for your life, So what you have to do is follow him, believing that he'll keep directing you. Without battles, there is no blessings! And, there's no better time then now to honor yourself and live your best life.

Over the next 22 days you'll see insight into my aspirations, goals and dreams going forward. In addition you'll feel my words and life lessons I learned over this year. Although I'm all about the details I'm not perfect and have made some great successes, but also came across a few disappointments. The disappointments are stepping stones for me not to repeat but delete from my life. I review my year much like an entertainment system. There are three buttons I refer to Play (Following God's Footsteps) Rewind (Time to Assess) Pause (Delete) This means in business and personal life. If you want greatness in life you need to have the right players. In any sport when the players aren't working they get traded to another team. If their lucky. Its important to take time before the New Year to assess the same for your life. My time is before my Birthday. I do this because I know my worth and next to God loving me. I must look in the mirror everyday and there is no other option but to “LOVE ME”.

1. I Honor Love By... Putting my love of GOD above all other loves.

Last week this song was sent to me with a note and honestly the timing couldn't have been better.  I knew back in July what the title of this Birthday letter would be. It never ceases to amaze me that when I'm working on a project the universe will send hints along the way. When you're in tune with self & lean on your spiritual connection, listen closely for an approval or dis-approval. The lyrics of this song is beyond inspirational and the essence of a love letter .

With each year should come "WISDOM". If you're not growing, then you're not "SOWING" the right "SEEDS".

Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror, then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully know. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

DEAR KIMBERLY...THE YEAR OF FINDING MYSELF "29"

In a recent blog post titled GLAM'ONDAY ALERT~BIRTHDAY LETTER COUNTDOWN. I expressed details on something that I do every year. And since starting the details...the drezrehersal...the I Do's... where we share all thing events, weddings, relationships and lifestyle planning. What's near & dear to my heart is sharing my life experiences in personal & business with others. It's one of several "Golden Nuggets" I vowed to share once I reached a certain milestone in life.  I truly believe in providing knowledge to others who may be trying to reach a simpler lifestyle. GOD wants us to share our gifts with others and that will be my Birthday gift to you on September 1st. Before closing my last week's post I mentioned this statement.

Dear Kimberly,

Twenty Nine brought success, let downs, tears, excitement, inconsistency and eventually at the Aha Epiphany moment. At 29 Lady you were the poster child and spokesperson for the “Jack of all Trades and a Master of None”. You went from starting a online magazine to a women’s network and then your own book. But, the book stuck! Instead of pleasing yourself you were caught up in pleasing others in business ventures & in your personal life and that has never been you! You’ve lost friends, gained new ones.  Now you finally understand that it’s better to have a few good ones then a lot of posers. You've questioned where your “Guy” was and when the heck you would  leave that 9 to 5?

Through all the tears and laughs your book made you realize that failures and blunt truthfulness about life and being a LADY was your platform and true purpose in life! Thankful for the sunshine in recognizing your purpose. Later 29 it’s been some lessons.
30 is all about defining you and leaving your mark and giving it my best shot! I thought turning 30 would be a big pity party but instead it has turned into a BIG dream, bigger party and I LOVE it! I want so much in life, but instead of just hoping and not having a plan I have a master plan!

• Pour into myself! Read more, attend conferences and connect with people that can sharpen my skills
• Be in position to leave my 9 to 5
• Build my brand L.o.v.e.
• Be a great business partner
• Try new things. Just have fun!
• Meditate and have a better relationship with God

Unlike last year I have a plan on how I’m going to achieve these goals. I won’t go another day complaining about my situation but instead I will see what life is trying to teach me and learn from it. I want to inspire people,  so that means I need to give of my talents a little more. And I will operate by my new found personal mantra: I will no longer apologize for embracing & becoming who I am. I have survived much to qualify for this season in my life. I will not beg anyone to be a part of my life or business plans. I will inspire and shine light to help others. I am fabulous just the way I am. I AM a change agent!

Today we're taking a different direction to our GLAM'ONDAY ALERT... Each week we bring you all things Events, Fashion, Beauty and on occasion Food for the Soul Tips & Suggestions. Today is special as it starts my thirty one day countdown to what I call each year; A moment in time to not only celebrate me, but also reflect on the year. If you haven't guess yet... The correct answer will be my "BIRTHDAY".


LET'S GET IT STARTED...


Every year I write a letter to myself which reflects on ; Where I've Been; Where I'm Going and How I Can Be a Better Me. Last year "2010" my letter consisted of many transformations.

Hopefully my thoughts and learning experiences this past year can help at least one individual make changes for where they are and P.U.S.H (Push~Until~Something~Happens) to follow a dream, a goal or a promise you have made to yourself. There's no better time than the present to get started. I've come FULL CIRCLE once again and I'm humbly thankful for the simple pleasure's of life. The bigger picture in life is nice, but I'm just ecstatically grateful for "BREATH" each day. Thank you heavenly father for giving me that and as long as I follow your principles there will be greater pleasures in store for me.

Placing your desires down in writing holds you accountable for your life. What you don't accomplished or even try. You have no one to blame but yourself. If you take anything from this post today know GOD has a better plan for your life. He expects nothing but goodness & greatness from you.
