The girls & I get an early start on a TGIF and head down the 101 freeway stopping for a nice breakfast along the way spending a couple of hours at the outlet, then continue down the coast to Santa Barbara for the remainder of the weekend & sometimes even an extended vacation. Santa Barbara will consist of spa treatments, more shopping and of course making a stop in Solvang. They have the absolute best restaurants for breakfast-Crepes that is. You can't visit Santa Barbara without visiting the vineyards for wine tasting.
